The Christian Health Association of Malawi (CHAM) Is an ecumenical umbrella association co–owned by Episcopal Conference of Malawi and Malawi Council of Churches. CHAM is the second largest provider of health services In Malawi. It has 180 Health Facilities and Training Colleges which are located in all parts of the country. These arc situated in remote and hard to reach areas. The objectives of CHAM are to facilitate, provide technical support, and develop health services among all its member facilities In order to achieve equity in access to health care, patient care and in all matters, to act for the benefit of the people of Malawi. With financial assistance from USAID through the EMPOWER Project, CHAM wishes to recruit Outreach Nurses for the Adolescent Girls and Young Women Project to be implemented in Zomba and Machinga Districts.
- To lead outreach teams at facility and community levels
- To plan with community facilitators on scheduling of service delivery points
- To ensure proper planning of outreach services and timely submission of reports
- To ensure AGYW service delivery is in accordance to the standards of care.
- To ensure delivery of SRH/HIV/GBV services to AGYW within the communities and the AGYW clubs
- To support supervision of collection of data by data clerks
- To strengthen referral/linkage systems to ensure AGYWs are linked to DREAMS and other services
- To represent CHAM at facility and community level.
- Diploma in Nursing. Those with Community Nursing Certificate will have an added advantage.
- Registered with Nurses and Midwives Council of Malawi
- Minimum of 3 years working experience in youth friendly health services
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage community members
- Experience working on a DREAMS project will be an added advantage.
