REQUEST FOR BIDS SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF OFFICE EQUIPMENT FOR LILONGWE WATER AND SANITATION PROJECT

PROCUREMENT REFERENCE NUMBER: MW-LWSP-41782-GO-RFB

  1. The Government of the Republic of Malawi has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of Lilongwe Water Board and Sanitation Project (LWSP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the supply and delivery of office equipment.
  2. Lilongwe Water Board now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply and Deliver of Office Equipment as detailed below:

  1. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures and in full compliance with the provision of Malawis Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Asserts Act No. 27 of 2017 and its subsidiary legislations. Bidding is open to all bidders as defined in the bidding documents.

  1. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders upon payment of non-refundable administration fee of MK5, 000.00. The method of payment will be cash or bank certified cheque at Lilongwe Water Board Head Office. The bidding document may be collected by interested bidders from the address given above from 08:00 to 16:00 hours on working days.
  2. Lilongwe Water Board Has Corruption Prevention Policy which was enacted in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Bureau in 2009 to promote zero tolerance to all forms of corrupt or fraudulent practice relating to its operation. Canvassing shall lead to disqualification. All bidders are encouraged to get a copy of the policy through the office of the Public Relations Officer.
  3. Bids shall be valid for the period of ninety (90) days after bid opening. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Securing Declaration valid for a period of 24 months.
  4. Lilongwe water board is not in any way bound to accept the lowest or any stage. Electronic bidding will not be permitted.
  5. Bidders are allowed to quote for any number or all Lots specified in (2) above.
  6. Sealed bids clearly marked Supply and Delivery of Office Equipment for the Lilongwe Water And Sanitation Project should be delivered in the tender box at the reception on or before Wednesday, 30th may 2018 at 14:00 hours local time at which time they will be opened. Late bids shall be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders representatives who choose to attend.
